Using Web2.0 Tools for Classroom Use

 Student observation is recommended while working on any of these sites.

Integrate Technology  and hone in on  Student & Teacher Creativity!!

 

Collage Tools

 

Glogster Create posters that have text, sounds, videos, and more to share information with your students! Use Glogster.edu and you can have student accounts under your name.

Wordle Create "tag clouds" that represent text you have provided.

Creating Comic Strips

 

Make Beliefs Comix Use this site to create black and white 2, 3, or 4 panel comics that can be printed or emailed.

ToonDoo

 

This is a cool, comic-creating tool from Jambay, a fun site for kids.  Jambay is devoted to creating a unique array of free & customizable online games of educational value for children of all abilities.  These can be posted on your webpage.

Creating Animated Stories or Pictures

 

 

Kerpoof

 

Create a picture, storybook, or animated movie online.  Use different backgrounds and characters to create your own digital story.  You can add speech bubbles and movement to each of your characters.  This would be a great final project for your students!

 

Myths and Legends

Similar to other story creators/comic sites but the charcters, backgrounds, and images are all based on myths and legends.  Teachers can have student accounts under their names and approve student stories before publishing them on the web.

 

Blabberize

 

Create a talking picture!  Upload a picture from your files and record sound from your microphone or telephone.  The mouth (selected area) on the picture will move with the sounds you have recorded!

 

 

Creating Videos

 

Animoto

Upload your pictures, add music, and the site creates a music video that "feels" your music.  Registration is required.  

Fee:  FREE for 30 second video that can be produced, mixed, and shared
          $3.00 for 1 Full Length Video that can be downloaded.
          $30.00 for 1 Year of Unlimited video creating and downloading.
          FREE for Educators.  Must request an educator account.
